The Department of Communities is seeking a suitably skilled workforce that is ready to respond to the workforce needs across the state.

Child Protection and Family Support protects and cares for Western Australian children and young people who are in need and supports families and individuals who are at risk or in crisis.
Critical Child Protection roles include:
- Child Protection Worker/ Field Worker (Specified Calling Level 1, $68,165 - $92,345 pa/ Level 2/4 $62,172 - $83,797 pa)
- Senior Child Protection Worker/ Senior Field Worker (Specified Calling Level 2, $94,548 - $104,179 pa/ Level 5, $88,047 - $96,994 pa)
- Team Leader Child Protection/ Team Manager Child Protection (Specified Calling Level 3, $109,533 - $120,969 pa/ Level 6, $101,966 - $112,590 pa)
- Residential Care Worker/ Senior Residential Care Worker (Level 2, $62,172 - $67,256 pa/ Level 3 $70,896 - $76,717 pa)
- Secure Care Officer (metro only) (Level 3 $70,896 - $76,717 pa)
- Family Support Officer(Level 1, $26,869 - $60,376 pa)
- District Emergency Services Officer (Level 5, $88,047 - $96,994 pa)

Qualification Requirements for Specified Callings Roles
You cannot be considered for this position unless you have a completed university degree in:
- Bachelor of Social Work
- Bachelor of Psychology or
- relevant Human Services area.
If you have a relevant Human Services qualification you will need to supply unit descriptions/summaries for assessment against the Qualifications Framework.
All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency. Each qualification must be assessed individually, and the assessment must confirm the equivalent Australian qualification level (i.e. equivalent to a Bachelors or Masters degree). This assessment can be conducted by Overseas Qualification Unit, AEI-NOOSR or AASW, and the outcome evidence provided at the time of applying.

There are minimum requirements to be considered for some roles, including minimum experience and qualifications.
