Corporate Communications works alongside business units within the Department of Communities to provide specialist communication, digital and media support to reach a wide range of stakeholders. We manage corporate and internal communications to showcase the Department’s achievements and engage our people in our Strategic Direction

Information about the Talent Register

  • This Talent Register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for short term contract opportunities (up to twelve (12) months) at the Department of Communities in a range of key positions across the Corporate Communications directorate.
  • Opportunities are temporary and may be full time or part time.    
  • The register is actively monitored, and applicants may be contacted if an opportunity arises suiting their skills and experience.
  • Once you apply, your CV will stay on the register until 30/03/2026, after which time, you will need to reapply.

The Opportunities

Business Support Officer - Level 3, $86,439 - $92,795 pa pro rata + Super - PSCSAA 2024

Provides effective and efficient business and administrative support to the Corporate Communications Branch and assists in developing and implementing communications activities, projects, and programs for the Department.

Graphic Designer - Level 4, $95,782 - $100,526 pa pro rata + Super - PSCSAA 2024

Assists with the coordination and implementation of visual Corporate Communication initiatives and projects for the Department and provides graphic design advice and support.

Communications Officer - Website Coordinator - Level 5, $105,167 - $114,938 pa pro rata + Super - PSCSAA 2024

Coordinates the development, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Department's websites and expands the use of web-related technologies.

Communications Officer - Level 5, $105,167 - $114,938 pa pro rata + Super - PSCSAA 2024

Supports the development and implementation of internal and external communication and/or corporate events and sponsorships strategies. The position also collaborates and liaises with multiple internal and external key stakeholders.

Media and Communications Officer  - Level 5, $105,167 - $114,938 pa pro rata + Super - PSCSAA 2024

Supports the development and implementation of proactive and reactive media strategies. Collaborates and liaises with multiple internal and external key stakeholders, including journalists and Ministerial offices.

Senior Communications Officer Level 6, $120,457 - $132,753 pa pro rata + Super - PSCSAA 2024

Manages the development and implementation of internal and external communications and/or corporate events and sponsorship strategies.
