This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2023. 

Shenton College is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic ATAR Visual Art teacher commencing Term 1, 2023.

The successful applicant should be an expert, passionate teacher of ATAR Visual Art, with demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary ATAR Visual Art curriculum from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning through to senior secondary courses. 

As a prosperous large school the College employs a number of Visual Art teachers, some of whom will teach within one of our dedicated Middle School Communities (Years 7 and 8), while others will be in our Senior Schools teaching from year 9 through to year 12.  Over their time at Shenton College, staff will generally have the opportunity to alternate between the Middle and Senior schools.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
