About us

The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.

What we do is integral to the Government’s decision-making processes about where and how to spend taxpayer’s money to ensure Western Australians have access to quality services on a financially sustainable basis.

We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA.

We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.

 

The work area

The Procurement Policy and Strategy business unit is responsible for a whole of government approach to procurement policy including administration of the Procurement Act, procurement systems and intelligence as well as whole of government common use arrangements and assurance functions that efficiently meets the business needs of government agencies, manages risks and delivers value for money.

The opportunity

Are you passionate about problem solving, systems issues, interacting with a diverse range and clients. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join us and make a difference for Western Australia. This role:

  • Takes the lead role in assisting buying organisations and systems users progress through the implementation process for procurement systems.
  • Ensures the delivery of a quality customer service.
  • Manages relationships with buying organisations to promote the adoption and continued usage of procurement systems and processes.
  • Coordinates and delivers procurement systems training programs.

We currently have one (1) permanent full-time position available for filling within the Procurement Assurance, Systems and Reporting directorate.
