The Opportunity
WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is seeking to establish a pool of suitably experienced, skilled, highly motivated people for upcoming Pharmacist positions around WA.
In this role you will perform as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote safe, rational and cost-effective drug therapy. Your practice as a Pharmacist will align to the Pharmacy Board of Australia Registration Standards, the Pharmacy Board of Australia Codes and Guidelines including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct for Registered Health Practitioners and WACHS policies and guidelines.

Staff Locations
For the Regional Clinical Pharmacist role (P2) we have positions in the following locations - Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Northam, Narrogin, Bunbury, Busselton, Albany.
For the Senior Regional Clinical Pharmacist role (P3) we have positions in the following locations – Kununurra, Derby, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Newman, Carnarvon, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Northam, Narrogin, Bunbury, Busselton, Albany.
Accommodation may be available for pharmacists in Kununurra, Derby, Hedland, Karratha, Kalgoorlie, Narrogin and Esperance.

If applying for the Regional Clinical Pharmacist (P2) please provide:
- A covering letter of no more than 2 pages demonstrating which WACHS value resonates most with you and how you would apply this to your practice
- A comprehensive CV that clearly shows your experience relevant to this role and the names and contact details of two (2) professional referees, preferable for one to be your current supervisor or manager
If applying for the Senior Regional Clinical Pharmacist (P3) please provide the same requirements as the P2 role, and in addition please provide examples of how you are:
- Capable of working independently and autonomously as the only pharmacist in a team or health service AND/OR
- Experience in managing and training pharmacists and pharmacy support staff
Eligibility to Apply
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Provide evidence of their Australian citizenship or permanent residency to be considered for permanent positions in the WA public sector
- Undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checks; this may also include referees commenting on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour
- Completion of a satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA)
- Be eligible for/or in possession of a current C or C-A Class driver’s licence
Other Important Information You Need to Know
Appointments made be made from this pool until 31/12/2023.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
