The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) is recruiting for a full-time Buildings and Projects Officer to join our Planning and Operations team, based at Karrakatta Cemetery.
About the role
The Buildings and Projects Officer works closely with the Coordinator Planning and Projects in planning and managing a range of projects. The position is responsible for the project management of construction and refurbishment projects including cemetery infrastructure, minor buildings, office fitouts and building renovations.
The Buildings and Projects Officer is an integral part of the Planning and Operations team, and brings skills in developing contract specifications, providing building and construction advice, building management, using project management software, and reporting. The Buildings and Projects Officer maintains good relations with internal and external parties to ensure quality outcomes. This position is based at Karrakatta and will include travelling to other sites for project activities and monitoring of contractors.

The MCB is a fully self-supporting statutory authority within the Western Australian Public Sector that manages the six cemeteries and memorial garden sites in the Perth metropolitan area.
