On 31 March 2025, Premier Hon Roger Cook MLA announced a reform of WA Government departments. As part of this reform, all housing-related functions managed by the Department of Communities (Communities) have been transitioning to the newly established Department of Housing and Works (DHW) since 1 July 2025. Corporate services functions and staff are proposed to transfer in multiple tranches by 31 December 2026. Please note, the advertised position is an identified DHW position which will transfer at some stage in 2026.Communities are managing this recruitment process and once the position is transferred, DHW will be employing authority. We are looking for highly motivated lawyers with commercial, property and / or litigation experience.This role operates with relative autonomy, initiative and judgement to manage routine to moderately complex cases / matters and assist Principal Lawyers with more complex cases / matters, research and support.
