The Department of Fire and Emergency Services are seeking to establish a register of applicants for occasional short‑term contract opportunities across a range of Level 2 and Level 3 administrative and support officer roles.
The register allows applicants to express interest in short-term opportunities on a fixed-term, full-time, part-time or casual basis, for upto a period of 12 months.
What we are looking for
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in delivering high‑quality administrative and/or business support related functions who can support the efficient and effective day‑to‑day operations across a variety of DFES branches.
Day‑to‑day activities may include:
- Providing high‑quality secretarial, word processing and administrative support
- Acting as a central point of coordination for telephone calls, correspondence, visitors and meetings
- Coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements
- Arranging and facilitating appointments and meetings
- Preparing and distributing agendas, minutes and associated documentation for meetings
- Undertaking minor office purchasing and processing, incurring and certifying accounts
- Maintaining accurate records and databases

After lodging your CV, you may be contacted to attend an interview if a suitable vacancy becomes available. Your CV will stay on our temporary register for three months, after which time, you will need to reapply.

National Police Certificate
