Minimum eligibility:

The new Intensive Family Support (IFS) Team for Carnarvon will:
- Help families so children can stay with them
- Link families to support services

Qualifications: to be appointed to the Child Protection Worker roles, you must meet the essential qualification requirements by holding a university qualification in social work, psychology or relevant services area. Meet us between 9.00am and 11.00 am or between 1.00pm and 3.00pm on Wednesday 19 October or Thursday 20 October at Department of Communities Child Protection Office 6 Robinson St Carnarvon where you can ask questions, register your interest, and participate in an assessment. Refreshments will be provided. A session will be held for interested people who cannot attend on either day, and another session will be held online on 28 October.
Participants who are found suitable after assessment may be offered permanent employment in a position that matches their capability and skills. Suitable applicants may also be offered a similar position in the Mid West or Gascoyne Region commencing in 2022 or 2023. Should no suitable applicant be identified for one or more of the above positions, or an offer declined, we may search for further applicants without re-advertising.
