The Role

We are seeking a motivated individual with specialist knowledge of procurement and contract management to fill the role of Contracts Manager within our Transperth Train Operations Division.  This position will report to the Commercial and Controls Manager – METRONET Railcars and will be responsible for providing advice on procurement and contract management aspects within the METRONET Railcar Procurement Project.

To ensure success you will possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce, Law, Construction/Project Management, Quantity Surveying and/or substantial experience in the management and tendering of contracts;
  • Extensive experience in public sector procurement of goods, services and works and the application of State Supply Commission and Government policies and procedures;
  • Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to work professionally with others at all levels;
  • Extensive experience in contract management matters including negotiating high value/complex variations with contractors and provided advice to stakeholders.

This is a fixed term opportunity to the 1 March 2024 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
