The Role

As Mainstream Education Assistants, you'll be much more than classroom support. You'll play a vital role in helping students build confidence, develop skills and experience success every day.

Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff, suitable applicants will assist in the delivery of engaging learning programs for individual students and small groups. You would support the creation of inclusive learning environments where every student feels safe, valued and capable of achieving their personal best.

The desired applicants will ideally have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues. They should ideally be organised, proactive and flexible, with the ability to use initiative when supporting teaching and learning programs and maintaining effective learning environments.

Education Assistants at Bambara PS contribute positively to student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement. Working under teacher direction, you will help support student learning, encourage independence and resilience, and assist with implementing positive behaviour strategies in accordance with school policies and programs.

• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
