Conditions

This is a full-time fixed term vacancy, for a period of 12 months, with a possibility of extension. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 24 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool where appointments may be considered for similar vacancies for full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed term.

A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.

Job Description

The Technical Officer role supports collections activities associated with the NCB Gorgon project.

This position carries out the preservation, preparation, documentation and registration of specimens and keeps accurate records relating to these collections. The individual also carries out technical maintenance of the collections and associated records, keeps specimens in systematic order, returns and retrieves specimens from the collections.
