Position Profile
We are seeking to establish a pool of suitably qualified applicants for the role of Information Management Officer and Library Officer. The pool will be valid for a period of twelve (12) months following finalisation of the process and may be used to fill permanent and fixed term, full time and part time opportunities that may arise in this period. Please note, being appointed to the pool does not guarantee you placement to a position.
The Information Management Officer
This position will undertake a range of records and information management activities to service the internal staff and meet departmental objectives. The position will also ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines. To be successful in this position you must demonstrate:
- Experience working in a records management environment and in using computerised records management systems.
- Ability in indexing and classifying files and documents.
- Understanding of legislation affecting management of public records.
The Library Officer
The Library Officer will provide technical assistance for the provision of timely information services to internal staff and members of the public where appropriate. Additionally, the position will process and maintain the library collection. To be successful in this position you must:
- Demonstrate the ability to use computers and a range of application software, packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Working knowledge of library practices and ethics include copyright act.
Eligibility / Other Conditions
Information Management Officers must be able to undertake physical demands of the required duties (some moderate level lifting and carrying up to 16 Kilograms is required).
This position is located in Perth Metropolitan area.
