Empower Future Education Support Professionals
North Regional TAFE (NR TAFE) is seeking an experienced, passionate and innovative educator to join our Health, Education and Community Services team as a Lecturer School-Based Education Support.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled education professional to share their industry expertise, inspire the next generation of Education Support workers and contribute to meaningful training outcomes across regional Western Australia.
Drawing on your experience within school settings, you will deliver engaging, industry-relevant training and assessment for Certificate III and Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support, as well as other qualifications within the Community Services Training Package. You will play a vital role in supporting students to develop the practical skills, confidence and knowledge required to succeed in contemporary education environments.
About the Role
As a Lecturer School-Based Education Support with NR TAFE, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment for Certificate III and IV in School-Based Education Support and other related Community Services qualifications. You will facilitate engaging learning experiences across classroom and practical environments, support and mentor a diverse range of students, and help develop the skills and confidence required for employment in contemporary education settings. Drawing on your industry experience, you will contribute to student success while maintaining current knowledge of educational practices and participating in ongoing professional development and industry engagement.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for employment, applicants must have:
- Significant relevant industry, vocational or lecturing experience (minimum five years' experience in school-based education).
- Relevant industry qualifications such as:
- Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support and/or Bachelor of Education
- Diploma of Education Studies or Diploma of Teaching
- Graduate Diploma of Education (Primary or Secondary)
Applicants must also hold:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110), or
- A secondary teaching qualification together with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019 or TAESS00024) in accordance with the Registration Standards 2025.
- Applicants who do not currently hold the required VET qualification are still encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be required to enrol in an approved training and assessment qualification or the relevant skill set dependent on industry qualifications
If you have experience delivering relevant and engaging training in classroom and workplace settings, strong written and verbal communication skills, sound administrative capabilities and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, we would like to hear from you. The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment will be highly regarded.

Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
