About the roles
Are you a Cyber Security expert looking to design and implement information systems risk and security controls to protect DLGSC information assets.
DLGSC is looking to establish a pool of Cyber Security Specialists to appoint to permanent, fixed term, full time and part time positions, as they arise over the next 12 months. We currently have one permanent full time (75 hrs p/f) Cyber Security Analyst position available and one permanent full time (75 hrs p/f) Cyber Security Administrator position available. Whilst these positions are full time, the department may consider part time/job share arrangements for the right candidate(s).
As an Cyber Security Analyst, you will provide ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of information systems risk and security controls to protect DLGSC information assets.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring system events, alerts, and threats to detect and prevent cyber security risks.
- Identifying and responding to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and cyber threats.
- Assisting with the configuration of security tools and managing vulnerability reports and remediation efforts.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to raise awareness, provide technical advice, and support a 'security first' culture.
As an Cyber Security Administrator, you will configure and manage security tools, technologies and controls to protect DLGSC information systems and digital assets.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and optimising security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Conducting security audits, reviews, and supporting access control and identity management.
- Assisting with detecting and responding to cyber incidents, including gathering information for analysis and recovery.
- Engaging stakeholders to promote security awareness and providing technical advice to safeguard sensitive data.
