About the division

The Racing, Gaming and Liquor (RGL) team has undergone significant transformation, and we are looking for dynamic leaders to drive change. RGL regulates and maintains the integrity of all lawful racing, gambling, and liquor activities in the state by providing guidance for industry to maintain compliance with relevant legislation for the benefit of all Western Australians. 

About the role

Are you passionate about shaping policies that drive impactful regulatory changes? Are you experienced with board and committees?

We are seeking a dedicated policy development specialist to join our dynamic team at DLGSC. In the Senior Policy Officer role, you will play a crucial part in our strategic direction by formulating, implementing, and evaluating policies within the regulatory area, and providing support to boards and committees. You'll be at the forefront of legislative changes, ensuring effective implementation and assessment across the RGL portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing legislative changes and assessing their impact on the regulatory landscape.
• Providing support to boards, committees, and other key stakeholders.
• Contributing to innovative initiatives that enhance regulatory effectiveness.

We have one permanent, full time (75hrs p/f) position available.

This role is based at 140 William Street Perth.

This central Perth location is a major hub in the CBD - linking directly to the Perth Underground railway station, with pedestrian laneways from Forrest Place and Murray Street Mall, connecting Northbridge and the William Street collective.
