About the role
Bandyup Women's Prison (Maximum Security) and Boronia Pre-Release centre for Women (Minimum Security) are seeking enthusiastic, experienced Clinical Nurses to join their team of health care professionals where staff can make a significant contribution to improving the health outcomes for female patients. There are currently two permanent part time positions available for immediate filling, Bandyup Women's Prison at 60 hours per fortnight and Boronia Pre-Release Centre at 52 hours per fortnight.
Clinical Nurses provide clinical leadership, critical thinking and direct care to patients throughout the patient journey in a custodial setting. Utilizing comprehensive clinical assessment and excellent communication skills, the role promotes and supports delivery of safe quality care within a multidisciplinary team.
This opportunity would appeal to Clinical Nurses with demonstrated skills in one or more of the following areas: Primary health care, Chronic Disease Management, Blood Borne Virus Management, Women's Health issues and Health promotion. These positions are responsible for maintaining a secure environment, providing clinical and professional expertise to ensure the service delivered is in accordance with the Department of Justice Health Services Directorate policy and procedure in a safe and secure working environment.
