Why we need you
Main Roads are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Surveyor to join our Planning and Technical Services directorate. In this role you will develop, maintain, and deploy specialist technical standards and guidelines relating to both the engineering and underground utilities locating and survey requirements of Main Roads. You will use your analytical skills and technical expertise in survey and underground utilities to recommend the application of new technology and appointment of consultants. As Senior Engineering Surveyor will develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships in providing specialist technical advice to external stakeholders including other government organisations, and ensuring our engineering surveying practice and technology is consistent with appropriate standards.

- A four (4) page covering letter outlining your substantial skill, knowledge and experience in the following four (4) criteria:
- Developing and maintaining surveying and underground utilities locating standards, products, practices and processes
- Provision of engineering surveying and underground utilities services including research, analysis and problem solving using survey and location methodologies
- Project and contract management
- Building and enhancing stakeholder relationships
- A copy of your current Western Australian ‘C’ or C-A” Class (car) motor vehicle drivers’ licence or an approved equivalent
- If applicable to you, a copy of your Degree in Surveying or other relevant discipline
