Position Profile and Role:
We are seeking two Senior Mental Health Professionals to join the multi-disciplinary Eating Disorders Service Team at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service based at Perth Children’s Hospital.
The Senior Mental Health Professionals will support young people with eating disorders and their families through evidence-based outpatient therapy, group therapy, meal support and other clinical services as required. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing evidence-based family, individual and group therapy for eating disorders.
- Providing crisis intervention, treatment and referral to individuals, families and the community.
- Actively participating in interdisciplinary case conferences and clinical team meetings.
- Providing support, information, training and education for team members and staff from other agencies regarding care and management of clients regarding mental health and/or child sexual abuse. Initiate and develop links with relevant community agencies. Initiate and participate in the review and development of allocated service areas.
- Participating in ongoing evaluation of clinical practice, quality, management programs and quality improvement activities.
- Contributing to the development of mental health services which are responsive to community needs and priorities by participating in planning, implementation and evaluation processes including the provision of statistical returns, submissions and analysis of data.

Eating Disorder Service
The Western Australian CAMHS Eating Disorders Service (EDS) is a specialized state-wide service for the assessment and treatment of young people with eating disorders, and their families.
The EDS is implementing a reform agenda and looking for passionate staff to contribute. Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary, state-wide team that helps children and young people from across Western Australia recover from acute eating disorders. Working in the EDS provides opportunities to work in outpatient, day program, inpatient and group settings and to develop expertise in the field of eating disorders through training, supervision and a supportive team environment.
