The Role
The Senior Project Manager roles are highly sort after and will provide the successful applicants with the opportunity to be part Western Australia’s single largest investment in public transport that Perth has seen; METRONET. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the new trains being built, tested and maintained at the purpose-built Bellevue Railcar Manufacturing and Assembly Facility as part of the States WA Railcar Program (metronet.wa.gov.au).
Importantly, the role leads and manages technical aspects associated with the development of the rollingstock maintenance facilities, and related engineering infrastructure interfaces. It also as supports the Delivery Manager in achieving project quality, safety and budget goals.
There are two fixed term appointments available for immediate appointment up to 28 June 2024 with possible extension and/or permanency.
Who are we looking for?
If you want to be a part of one of the States largest public transport initiatives, then you’ve met the first requirement.
You will also need show us that you have experience in planning, design and construction of rail maintenance depot infrastructure and highly developed project and contract management skills.
The role will be required to monitor and ensure compliance with required regulations, standards, codes, and Railway Safety Management standards. Therefore, you must be able to effectively manage and lead staff, consultants and contractors to achieve agreed outcomes.
The role also calls for the successful applicants to have good knowledge of current technical and industry specific methods relevant to the construction of track and associated civil assets. You’ll need to prove your knowledge in this regard to the recruitment panel and showcase your well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
