The Role
The primary function of this role is to assist with the safe and cost-effective maintenance of all existing and new Railway, infrastructure and structures at owned and leased premises within the Urban Network in accordance with the WA Rail Safety Act 2015.
The role assists in carrying out preventative maintenance on the urban network and organises necessary repairs and maintenance to ensure these structures are maintained to a satisfactory and safe standard.
A large majority of the role will be maintaining PTA assets and scheduling works at night when the train network is not running.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a loyal and physically fit person with a relevant trade qualification who has solid experience in structures maintenance and knowledge of plant and machinery. You will have sound knowledge of safe working practices and ability to maintain accurate records.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate where they have used their autonomy and organisational skills to perform a similar role in the past.
This permanent appointment would suit a person who is committed to a stable career in the PTA and who would like to work in an experience team of like-minded individuals.
