About the region
The Mid West-Gascoyne Region covers an area of 430,189 km2 varying from regional centres to remote towns and communities. The region extends from Two Rocks and Muchea on Indian Ocean Drive and Brand Highway respectively, to Exmouth and Burkett Road along the coastal roads and from Wubin to Kumarina on Great Northern Highway.
There is a range of land use in the region including mainly mining, pastoral, agriculture and fishing in the north, as well as agriculture in the south.
The region also attracts tourists to a number of significant coastal attractions from Ningaloo and Coral Bay to the everlasting wildflower trail from Cervantes and the Pinnacles to Mullewa.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager to join us in the Mid-West Gascoyne Region based in Geraldton.
As the Regional Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead an integrated team of dedicated professionals in the management of the State’s Road Network across the Mid West-Gascoyne Region.
If successful in this role, you will be required to provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the region is well placed to cope with the road user demands on the network across the region.
It is critical that you have extensive experience in leading in the workplace, demonstrating being able to provide clear direction, personal integrity, self-awareness and embracing Main Roads values along with a proven record of managing employee behaviour, performance and development.
You will have experience in contract and project management relevant to the delivery and maintenance of road infrastructure and have well developed skills in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. The ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships to achieve outcomes are integral to this role.

Additional Information

The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment and provide a current National Police Clearance prior to appointment.
