About the Interagency Graduate Program
Our eighteen (18) month graduate program aims to build the skills, experience and networks required for a successful career in the public sector. A customised rotational plan exposes our graduates to a range of opportunities across the public sector. Initial employment is on a fixed basis with the provision for permanent appointment following successful completion of the first twelve (12) months.

About the Graduate Officer - Engineer
The WorkSafe Service Industries and Specialists team are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate with a bachelor degree in mechanical or structural engineering (degree to be completed in the current or preceding calendar year).
As a Graduate Officer - Engineer you will carry out regulatory and technical activities in the area of plant and engineering (including amusement structures, boilers, cranes, hoists, lifts and pressure vessels) under supervision, while working in a team undertaking the enforcement of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation.
You will have the responsibility to promote OSH and plant safety and respond to requests for regulatory and technical information about plant, engineering, OSH legislation and relevant standards. You will also have ability to communicate in a professional yet sensitive manner with people impacted by workplace safety issues.
You will be provided with the opportunity to work within a team of experienced engineers and inspectors to develop engineering knowledge and skills, and work on projects to promote plant safety in workplaces.
This position is located in Cannington however, you may be required to work at other sites.
