About the Role
The Metropolitan and Southern Regions Directorate delivers road asset management, network operation, minor construction and maintenance practices throughout the southern regions of Western Australia. This position is based in the Great Southern Region, located in Albany, which has direct responsibility for 1600kms of state highways and main roads and 80 bridges.
The region is currently looking for an asset management professional with demonstrated experience in the area of road asset management and maintenance delivery. This is a key role in managing Main Roads’ regional road network and an exciting opportunity as the organisation enters a new works delivery environment.
About You
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Ten Year Network Plan and Annual Works Program for improvement, maintenance and rehabilitation of the road network as well as monitor, assess and report on network performance.
As the incumbent, you will be required to demonstrate your relevant experience in road and/or bridge planning, design, construction or maintenance and knowledge in project management and road safety programs. Your strong research, analysis and problem solving skills will assist you in identifying and developing solutions and priorities to optimise the performance of the road network. An ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships will contribute to your success in this role.

- Managing financial, technological, physical and other resources within agreed allocations to meet agreed outcomes
