Are you passionate about creating safe, welcoming and well-maintained learning environments for students?

The Department of Education is seeking applications from people interested in opportunities supporting Western Australian public schools through cleaning, gardening and grounds maintenance roles.

Cleaners and Gardeners play an important role in ensuring school environments are clean, safe, attractive and ready for teaching and learning every day.

Opportunities may include:

  • Cleaner
  • Cleaner - Working Alone
  • Assistant Cleaner in Charge
  • Cleaner in Charge
  • Senior Cleaner in Charge
  • Assistant Gardener/Handyperson
  • Gardener/Handyperson
  • Senior Gardener/Handyperson
  • Horticulturist

Appointments may be offered on a full-time or part-time basis.

Acceptance to the Employment Register does not guarantee employment.

  • experience operating gardening or grounds maintenance equipment
  • knowledge of safe work practices and manual handling
  • chemical handling or cleaning experience
