About Us

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) supports the Premier in their role as head of the Western Australian Government. As a central agency, the Department leads the public sector by providing advice, coordination and support to the Premier and Cabinet in their service to the Western Australian community.

This role sits within the Strategic Communications Unit (SCU), which develops, delivers, and provides advice on whole-of-government communications projects aligned to key government priorities. The SCU is a multi-disciplinary team operating across five core streams of work: paid campaigns; digital communications; internal communications; stakeholder engagement; and design, as well as business and governance.

Permanent appointment:

  • To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia at the time of applying.
