The Opportunity

As the Child Safety Practitioner - Domestic Violence Helpline, you will be responsible for:

  • providing a 24-hour statewide telephone referral and response service to families and individuals who are experiencing or contributing to family and domestic violence;
  • assisting identified families and individuals in obtaining support and services to deal with domestic violence;
  • responding to concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children in accordance with provisions of the Children and Community Services Act 2004;
  • responding to referrals from the WA Police Force under the Restraining Orders Act 1997 and providing appropriate services.

There is currently one permanent part time position available for immediate filling, with the roster below  that repeats every 28 days:

Qualification Requirements

You must have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency. Refer to our website for information about the qualification requirements for this role, and how we will be assessing your qualifications.
