About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) full time fixed-term, position until 30 June 2028 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency available for immediate filling.
The role can be undertaken in Perth or another DPIRD office across the state. Working from home opportunities in line with the departments policy and business needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Food Industry Innovation Program, supporting the growth and competitiveness of Western Australia’s food and beverage (F&B) manufacturing sector.
The role focuses on identifying and promoting best practices in manufacturing support, while proactively engaging with WA-based food and beverage producers and processors. The successful candidate will help businesses enhance their global competitiveness and capture market opportunities both domestically and internationally.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing agrifood and beverage businesses, key industry stakeholders, and internal and external partners.
About you
We are seeking individuals with demonstrated experience in the food and/or beverage manufacturing sector, particularly those who:
- Are proactive in engaging with businesses and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Can support innovation and technology adoption within industry
- Possess excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience in project management, including the ability to deliver agreed outcomes within specific timeframes whilst meeting reporting requirements

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
