About the role
This role will oversee and manage the operations of the Transperth Train Operations depot across both Midland and Bellevue sites. You will provide strong leadership, direction and management to depot personnel, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable delivery of rail services aligned with PTA standards.
It is a critical leadership role, managing driver and depot activities, including rostering, timekeeping, stakeholder interface arrangements and incident response. You will contribute to the development and implementation of operational procedures, safety systems and improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with rail safety, industrial and organisational requirements. You will also provide expert operational advice to support the ongoing development of passenger rail services, including involvement in emerging technologies and projects.
A key focus of the role is leading and developing your team, managing performance, and fostering a strong safety culture while maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You!
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
- Substantial experience within a rail operations environment, with knowledge of rail safety legislation and industry practices.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, including performance, development and resource management.
- Ability to manage operations, budgets and competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills

This is a permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start.
