The Business and Corporate Services function operates under a service delivery model to support ChemCentre achieve its strategic and commercial objectives.  We provide a range of services including human resources, financial management, records management, project management and ICT Services and support and enhancement of bespoke systems.

About the role 
ChemCentre is seeking a proactive and experienced ICT Systems and Network Officer to deliver high-quality ICT support and responsive level 1, 2 and 3 services across systems, networks and end-user devices.

Working closely with the Lead Infrastructure and Support Services Administrator, you will be a hands-on all-rounder with strong technical skills across Microsoft Server and Desktop environments, Microsoft M365, networking, storage and virtualisation. You will support the effective operation of ICT systems through good management practices.

In this role, you will contribute to ICT projects, manage ICT service requests, maintain the ICT asset register, and perform system maintenance and troubleshooting of end-user devices to ensure reliable and efficient operations. You will also be responsible for managing the deployment, installation and configuration of software and hardware throughout the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) lifecycle using Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

You will also contribute to the planning and management of security controls, including threat and incident response, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a secure ICT environment. A working knowledge of Essential 8 is essential.

This position is a Full-time position offered on a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment for eighteen (18) months, with the possibility for extension or permanency.

Suitable applicants may be considered for like positions within 12 months from the date of finalisation of the selection process.

The position is located in Building 500, Resources and Chemistry Precinct, Manning Road, Bentley.

Eligibility 
To be eligible for a fixed-term or secondment appointment, it is essential to have documentary evidence of your entitlements to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract. 

ChemCentre does not currently participate in employer visa sponsorship arrangements.

Prior to commencing employment, a National Police Clearance and Fitness for Work (alcohol and drug testing) will be required for a successful applicant.
