Have you ever thought you would like to share your industry knowledge and experience with those learning about or starting in your industry?
North Metropolitan TAFE values staff diversity and is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive workplace where everyone’s contribution is respected and valued. We’re developing an Aboriginal careers opportunities register to support inclusive career pathways and to build a workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
About the Register
The Aboriginal careers opportunities register is part of our commitment to improving access to employment and creating fair and inclusive opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
As part of this commitment, the Register connects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with current and future employment opportunities across a range of areas at North Metropolitan TAFE.
We’re keen to hear from people with strong, hands‑on industry experience who are interested in sharing their knowledge and supporting the next generation of students. You’ll work across relevant study areas to help plan, develop and deliver training and assessment, with full support provided before you transition into teaching.
As a Lecturer, you’ll guide and support students through their learning, assess their progress and help them build confidence and skills for the workforce. You’ll also take part in professional activities related to delivery. We recognise that teaching is a journey, and we support our lecturers through professional development, mentoring and access to learning resources so you can grow your capability and stay connected to current industry practices.
