About the Division

The Business Services Division (the Division), as part of the Department of Communities, is responsible for a number of corporate services which support operational excellence through the provision of strong data, financial, information governance and systems, facilities and emergency relief outcomes through business partnering and close engagement with our customers.

This position works within the Professional Standards Directorate of the Business Services Division, which is responsible for building and supporting a positive workplace culture where staff operate with integrity, are accountable, ethical, and make informed decisions that consider risk, and drive continuous improvement practices.

Role Statement

The Executive Director Professional Standards is accountable for leading integrity, professional standards, risk, business continuity planning, assurance, complaints, Duty of Care, and audit functions of the Department of Communities.

What are we looking ?

A dedicated multiple area leader who can lead small teams in ensuring the department operates with integrity and builds a positive workplace culture. This position will build on the department’s existing comprehensive approach and drive continuous improvement across the agency.

The Opportunity

Currently there is one (1) full-time, fixed-term appointment up to the 14 May 2027 with a possibility of extension, available for filling and will be based at Communities’ purpose-built offices in Walyalup Koort, Fremantle.

Walyalup Koort is a great location close to the Fremantle Markets, various new cafes and eateries (click here to find out more) and a car park, as well as walking distance to the Fremantle train station and Bathers Beach.
