About the Division
The Business Services Division (the Division), as part of the Department of Communities, is responsible for a number of corporate services which support operational excellence through the provision of strong data, financial, information governance and systems, facilities and emergency relief outcomes through business partnering and close engagement with our customers.
This position works within the Finance Directorate (the Directorate) of the Business Services Division, which is responsible for budgeting, management reporting and financial analysis, and resource planning and advice.
Chief Finance Officer (CFO)

The Role
As CFO you will lead the financial and management accounting of a multi-entity organisation and oversee the financial strategy for a workforce of 4500+ employees. Responsible for a budget in excess of $2.1 billion, Communities operate from more than 160 locations across Western Australia with 79% of staff based in the Perth metropolitan area and 21% in regional offices.
Operting in a large and complex environment, a key focus of this position is strategic change in reforming financial services management accounting and financial analysis that reflect government requirements, add value, are consistent and enable transparent decisions to be made in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.
This role is integral in directing and supporting all strategic and operational matters relating to financial and management accounting support services, budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting needs and securing new funding.
