The Role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Facilities Coordinator to join our team.

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day‑to‑day management, maintenance and safety of school facilities, grounds and amenities, including specialist areas such as the school pool. Working closely with the Principal and Manager Corporate Services, the role supports the delivery of safe, functional and well‑maintained learning environments that meet operational, regulatory and community expectations.

The role includes the direct supervision of the Cleaners‑in‑Charge and the Gardener/Handyperson, providing operational direction and supporting the effective delivery of cleaning, grounds and minor maintenance services.

The successful applicant should ideally have experience in coordinating programmed and reactive maintenance; supporting asset management and lifecycle planning; liaising with contractors; and maintaining accurate records, compliance documentation and maintenance schedules. The role also involves supporting budget monitoring, invoice processing and facilities‑related funding submissions.

A strong focus of the position is ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety and building standards, supporting emergency and critical incident procedures, responding to staff facilities enquiries, and providing high‑quality customer service while working with minimal supervision.
