We understand that to make change you must think differently and work differently…
The Public Sector Commission is on a mission to create an innovative and future fit public sector for all Western Australians.
This position is part of the Aboriginal Employment team whose work is all about developing policies, systems and frameworks relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment; and ensuring services are provided in the most effective, efficient and culturally appropriate manner.
The team designs, develops, implements and reports on employment initiatives; and fosters strong working relationships in the Commission and with public sector agencies to support these initiatives.
Our team needs someone who can effectively contribute to and support employment initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, shape solutions, communicate effectively with others and managing multiple moving pieces.
You’ll contribute to and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment initiatives and provide culturally appropriate advice on policies, systems and frameworks to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees in the public sector. You’ll also help increase a shared understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment.

We value diversity and understand diverse workplaces are more effective and innovative. To achieve greater diversity in the workplace, this role is only open to Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people.
