The Role
The Communications Officer develops, implements and evaluates creative and innovative communication and marketing tools, strategies and processes, including digital communications, to promote the Department’s strategies and policies. The position provides operational advice and collaborative support in communications, public relations, marketing and promotions to key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience developing and managing communications projects across a range of channels, including websites and social media, publications, promotions, and advertising. You will come from a communications, marketing, or digital background, bring a high level of attention to detail, and have a strong focus on storytelling, audience engagement, and brand consistency. You will also possess excellent written, visual, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to translate ideas into compelling multimedia content.
