We are looking for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduate, who would like to join us on our journey of enhancing, engaging, and improving Aboriginal Engagement and Business Participation across the Transport Portfolio.

About the Role
Our Graduate Aboriginal Engagement Program encourages you to have hands-on participation in high-profile engineering projects across Western Australia.
We currently have opportunities available to offer recent graduates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following;
- Social Sciences
- Arts: Indigenous Australian Culture/ Indigenous Community Management/ Indigenous Knowledge, History and Heritage
- Applied Science: Indigenous Community Management and Development
- Commerce (Marketing)
- Communications
- Communications and Marketing

To apply for our Graduate Aboriginal Engagement Program, you must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as and be recognised as such by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
To be considered for our Graduate Aboriginal Engagement, you must:
- Be a recent university graduate (within 2 years from completion of your Bachelor’s degree) or have your degree completed by July 2026 for our mid-year intake or will be completing your degree by December 2026 for our 2027 intake.
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be motivated to work at Main Roads, demonstrated through your strengths and personal attributes
- Have a career interest in learning and work with data
- Have strong problem solving skills, including embracing change and challenge
- Be great at working together in teams
- Be able to build relationships with stakeholders

- A cover letter outlining why you are interested in working for the Main Roads Graduate Aboriginal Engagement Program, and provide an example of how you demonstrate the following qualities:
- When you have worked in a team environment creating successful outcomes
- Used your communication skills through work, university or other areas to clearly explain a situation or task.
- Ability to solve a problem or problems in a workplace, university or other areas you have experienced.
