About State Records Office 

The State Records Office is the Western Australian public records authority with responsibility for managing, preserving and providing access to the state’s records of information. Established under the State Records Act 2000, it is part of Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport and supports the State Records Commission in its statutory role under the Act.  

By supporting the public sector in WA, the office seeks to achieve a secure and discoverable record of government that is valued by the community and used to create a legacy for current and future generations of Western Australians.   

About the role 

This position assists with the development of the State archive digital preservation program, including providing advice and assistance with digital repository management, data transfer, migration and digital preservation and the documentation of records in the Series Registration System. The position also participates in the provision of reference services to clients accessing Government records and supports team and other intra directorate activities. 

We have one fixed term, full time (75hrs p/f) position available until end of June with the possibility of subsequent contracts and/or permanency.
