The Urban Mobility (UM) Directorate exists to provide integrated transport strategy, policy, planning and programs to optimise the current and future use of the transport network for moving people in cities and major centres. The Active Transport branch of UM supports the delivery of active transport solutions in Western Australia to make it an easy, attractive and widely accepted choice for people of all ages and abilities to walk, wheel or ride as part of their everyday journeys and experiences.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic leader to deliver impactful solutions, drive creative thinking, and foster partnerships for a healthier, more connected community.

Join the Urban Mobility Directorate’s Active Transport Branch and help shape the future of Western Australia’s urban landscape. You’ll lead innovative projects that make walking, cycling, and wheeling safer and more attractive for all, supporting vibrant, healthy communities. Our recent initiatives—like the feasibility for the Boorloo Bridge, Long Term Cycling Network Planning, Developing Active Transport Design Guidance and supporting delivery of active transport infrastructure—demonstrate our commitment to transformational change and strategic urban planning. Collaborate with diverse partners to deliver impactful solutions, influence policy, and drive sustainable transport outcomes.
