We manage tenancy services, support housing provision in remote Aboriginal communities, and oversee government employee accommodation.

About The Division 

The Division also leads the key portfolios of Homelessness, Remote Communities and Government worker housing. It’s about more than building houses – it’s about creating vibrant and inclusive communities that meet the needs of all types of people and contribute to individual and community wellbeing. Our Objectives are:

  • delivering Aboriginal housing and remote communities’ assets and services;
  • leading WA Government housing policy and planning for social and affordable housing; and
  • creating and supporting diverse and inclusive communities. 

About The Role:

In this leading role, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of Government Housing functions in the Region/s, with the aim of ensuring all eligible Western Australians have access to a range of affordable and secure Housing solutions.

Some of your main duties will include:

  • Providing leadership through creating a vision for the region and a work environment that is consistent with the Department’s vision, mission and objectives.
  • Conducting business and operational planning for the region, establishing performance targets and monitoring progress and performance to achieve desired outcomes and ensuring community needs are reflected in service delivery.
  • Representing the Department as the leading agency representative at government and non-government forums in a regional context and ensures that the strategic objectives of the Department are conveyed and understood.
  • Liaising with client agencies and other stakeholders to facilitate capital works programs for the region.
