We are seeking to establish a Pool of Casual Shop Assistants at the WA Museum Boola Bardip for vacancies that may arise within the next 12 months, with the possibility of also Permanent, Fixed-term, Full time, and Part time appointments.

About the role

The role assists with sales and the successful operation of the WA Museum Boola Bardip shop by providing a high level of customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining shop presentation, and assisting with stock control and shrinkage to enhance the customer experience.

About you

We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated individuals who enjoy a positive team environment and delivering high-quality customer service.

The successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Undertake sales, reconciliation, and stock control including maintaining stock levels.
  • Maintain good product knowledge, shop presentation, and displays.
  • Promote a good customer experience for Museum visitors.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and outlook.

  1. Previous experience in a retail environment.
  2. Demonstrated excellence in customer service
  3. Demonstrated experience in a computerised POS (point of sale) system, including cash handling and reconciliation.

Note: The remaining work-related requirements (see JDF) will be assessed at a later stage in the recruitment process.

Eligibility to Apply
