About the Graduate Program
Our Graduate Information Communication Technology (ICT) Program is a two-year rotational program, providing practical learning experiences in a range of specialist areas – not only relevant to your qualification, but also to your strengths and interests.
In this role you will provide client support for ICT Service Delivery including network and telecommunications, Cyber Security, and Innovation and Emerging Technology. You will get to focus on key areas such as:
- ICT Service Delivery - support the implementation and maintenance of ICT services, assist in resolving technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- ICT Service Management - support day-to-day IT service operations, such as incident management, service request fulfillment, and problem resolution, and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance overall service quality and alignment with business objectives.
- Cyber Security – Gain an understanding of Governance Risk Compliance (GRC), provide technical support, undertake risk assessments, and review security incidents in a large complex environment
- Innovation and Emerging Technologies - Be at the forefront of research and implementation into emerging technologies in the ICT field. We engage in projects throughout the organisation to meet the specific needs of the specific business area. These can include artificial intelligence and innovative citizen developer applications.

To be considered for our Graduate ICT program you must be:
- A recent university graduate (completion of degree between July 2023 and July 2025)
- An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

- A copy of your completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant discipline, and your academic transcript. If you are completing your degree in July 2025, please submit your most recent academic results. Overseas qualifications will need to be accompanied with confirmation of Australian equivalency
- Your CV
- A copy of your current WA motor vehicle Driver’s Licence (or approved equivalent)
- Proof of Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- A cover letter of no more than 2 pages outlining why you are interested in working for the Main Roads Graduate ICT Program, and how you demonstrate the following qualities:
- Provide an example of when have you successfully collaborated with others in a team setting?
- Highlight a time where you have effectively communicated ideas or information.
- Describe a situation where you have built and maintained positive relationships with others.
Relocation support will not be available for this Perth based position.
