We are seeking to establish a pool of Gardener – Handyperson for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

East Victoria Park Primary School is a level 5 Independent Public School located on the corner of Mint St and Beatty Ave that caters for a diverse range of students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The site is shared with an Education Support Centre whose students integrate with the Primary School.

The Role

East Victoria Park Primary School (PS) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Gardener – Handyperson/s who will ideally have a passion for the outdoors and an ability to create and maintain a safe, enjoyable outdoor environment for staff, students and the community.

In this role you will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in a clean and tidy condition and provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management. You will maintain tools and horticultural equipment in a serviceable condition and perform minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines. You will provide advice and support to the Manager Corporate Services on school grounds maintenance and maintain accurate gardening records.
