Join us as a Senior Project Engineer and take a leading role in shaping the future of Perth's suburban rail system.

About the role

Drawing on your background in project and systems engineering in a rail industry, you will manage low to medium risk public transport network projects, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution. Your expertise will be crucial in developing essential documentation, evaluating tenders and maintaining requirements management plans. Your leadership skills will shine as you manage and mentor project teams, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

In this role, you will lead and innovate in a dynamic environment to ensure a consistent application of the PTA Project Management Framework and Engineering Management standards. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, while your analytical and problem-solving abilities will help you navigate complex challenges.

To be suitable in this role, you will need a degree in civil engineering, acceptable for membership with Engineers Australia, along with relevant technical expertise in project and contract management, systems engineering, and engineering assurance.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in civil engineering that is acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia.
  • Relevant technical expertise, including relevant project management, contract management, systems engineering and engineering assurance experience.
  • Leadership and management ability, including the capacity to lead, mentor and coach others as well as manage resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex problems.
