- District Medical Officer – Non-Procedural (DMO – NP) – Years 1 to 6 - $441,183.93- $552,351.53
- District Medical Officer – Procedural – Obstetrics (DMO Obs) – Years 1 to 3 - $504,609.09 to $552,351.53
- District Medical Officer – Procedural – Anaesthetics (DMO Anaes) – Years 1 to 3 -$504,609.09 to $552,351.53
The above pay packages are inclusive of a full-time base salary, PDL, on call allowance, and 11.5% superannuation.
Please note: If successful, classification and level will be determined based on your qualifications, certifications, experience outlined in your CV and if applicable, assessment outcomes by specialist college and AHPRA registration status.

About the Pool and Appointment:
This is an active recruitment pool which will be assessed on a regular basis by the panel to fill both immediate vacant positions and future vacancies. Please note the below:

About the Positions:
Provide comprehensive medical and community health services to the Carnarvon/Exmouth Health Service and remote communities. Provide clinical leadership, supervision, training, and education. Develop and maintain the skills necessary to provide safe, effective, appropriate, and quality clinical service. These roles are suitable for rural generalists who get a chance to do emergency department work on a rotating roster, ward type-based care and GP outreach clinics. There is also nonclinical time assigned to the roles.
Reporting to the Senior Medical Officer at each site will ensure you have the guidance and mentorship to thrive. You'll have access to resident specialists in person or via telehealth, and the WACHS Command Centre offer support with rapid care coordination and team leadership Emergency Medicine and Mental Health patients. In this role, you regularly collaborate with the Royal Flying Doctor Service which will hone your skills in patient retrieval and high-level care.

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with Remote Area Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Aboriginal Liaison Officers. About the Region
The Midwest/Gascoyne region is located in the northwest of Western Australia and consist of the local government areas such as Carnarvon, Exmouth, Shark Bay, and Upper Gascoyne. The Gascoyne is a tranquil enclave with a population of approximately 9,277.
Carnarvon and Exmouth Health Campuses - bring key health services together under the same roof to provide the local community with care closer to home through modern, purpose-built, and well-equipped health services. The Carnarvon Health Campus includes refurbished emergency department with two resuscitation bays, four treatment bays, central nursing station, three consulting rooms, mental health assessment room and a new triage booth. The Exmouth Health Campus offers programs such as community mental health, social work, and child health services in one location for ease of access. The Exmouth Health Campus now includes new areas such as new outpatient facilities with a new hospital entry, reception, triage and waiting area; and new treatment areas for improved access to visiting specialists and practitioners.
