About the Role
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced applicants to fill the role of Senior Civil Engineer. In this role the incumbent will provide a combination of support including engineering support and expertise for all asset management aspects including maintenance, design, construction, upgrades and modifications of the branch assets; project manages third party access to the PTA’s rail network and safeguard PTA assets; and contributes to the overall performance, reliability and all other associated activities in accordance with PTA and regulatory requirements. As a senior member of the Branch, the winning candidate will contribute to both the Branch operational performance and the reliability of assets leading to the effective delivery of services for the PTA.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A degree in civil engineering or equivalent with recognition by, or membership of, the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- Substantial proven experience in providing civil engineering expertise and knowledge in the planning, design and delivery of maintenance and/or construction works in an operational asset intensive environment.
- Substantial proven experience in applying asset management frameworks contributing to asset management strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership to others and contributes to the achievement of agreed outcomes for a team.
- Ability to resolve complex technical and operational problems and issues.
There is one full-time permanent position available for an immediate start. All applicants must have a current Western Australian ‘C’ or ‘C-A’ Class Driver’s Licence or equivalent and must have the ability to work unsociable hours, callouts, travel and stay away from home station, sometimes at short notice.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
