The Role

This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the “day to day” repair and maintenance of the Public Transport Authority’s diesel rollingstock fleets.

You will lead a team consisting of Electricians, Mechanics, and Apprentices; Adhere and enforce the compliance of relevant standards and procedures surrounding heavy maintenance, fault finding and repair ensuring a safe and driven workforce to deliver on the expectations of our client.

We are looking for a driven leader, who shares in the company culture, who leads by example and strives to achieve the goals assigned to their team and to safely and effectively meet the customers expectations for delivering reliable passenger transport.

You’ll work in a dynamic environment as part of motivated and passionate team.

This is a permanent appointment available for immediate filling.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Well-versed in maintenance, repair, overhaul, and inspection of our fleet with a trade background as either an A grade Electrician (holding a current West Australian electrical licence) or a Mechanical discipline.
  • Enthusiastic about continuous improvements
  • Has demonstrated experience managing and leading teams, mentoring and developing personal
  • Well-developed communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Cool, calm and safe while working in a high-pressure environment.
  • Organised, articulate with a good attention to detail.
