Gaming and Wagering Commission
The Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987 establishes GWC to control and regulate gambling and provides the regulatory framework enabling permitted gambling. The department provides services to the Commission to assist them execute their functions as the gaming and wagering regulator. The advertised positions will be key to the provision of the regulatory support services provided to the GWC.

About the role
We are seeking two General Managers, one responsible for Casino Compliance and the other responsible for Wagering and Community Gaming Compliance. Both General Manager opportunities are permanent, full time (75 hrs p/f) positions.
These General Manager roles are responsible for leading and managing their respective branches to ensure organisational and legislative responsibilities are executed effectively and efficiently, and direct and develop strategies for effective regulation. The positions are expected to lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams by providing a clear sense of direction and purpose, set expectations and monitor delivery against departmental objectives, and lead and deliver programs within their branch.
The positions develop and maintain key relationships at the national, state and departmental level, across a broad spectrum of topics, is highly responsive and provide high level support and advice to Executives.
Both roles are required to possess:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources including human, physical, financial, technical and information, to meet organisational objectives.
- Extensive experience in regulatory and compliance fields, with demonstrated ability to administer legislation and deliver outcomes in a regulatory setting.
