About the Role
We are seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates to fill the role of Maintenance Manager – Track. This position sits within the Network & Infrastructure division and reports directly to the Track Engineering Manager. The winning candidate will lead the maintenance team within the Track Branch, ensuring the PTA’s maintenance practices and asset conditions are safe and fit for purpose. The incumbent develops and contributes to asset management plans, maintenance regimes, project delivery and all other associated activities in accordance with PTA and regulatory requirements.
About You
To be successful in this position you must have:
- An appropriate Engineering degree that would satisfy admission to the Institution of Engineers Australia and substantial experience in railway track asset maintenance, OR possession of a trade qualification (diploma level) in a trade discipline and extensive experience in railway track asset maintenance.
- Substantial experience in applying safety management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in applying asset management frameworks, standards and/or codes of practice.
- Substantial experience in managing the performance of an operational team and financial/physical resources in the achievement of agreed outcomes and providing a customer focused service.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and operational problems and issues.

There is one permanent, full-time position available for an immediate start. All applicants must be in possession of a Western Australian ‘C’ or ‘C-A’ Class Drivers Licence or equivalent, and have the ability to work unsocial hours, callouts, travel and stay away from home station, sometimes at short notice.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
