The Role
As a part of the Rail Engineering branch of the Infrastructure Planning and Land Services team, the role contributes to the development of concepts and ideas for major improvements, primarily for the suburban rail system in Perth and for passenger rail systems beyond the metropolitan area, principally in relation to railway permanent way design and planning.
There is one permanent full-time role required to be filled.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with substantial, relevant engineering experience in a railway environment. They must have sound experience in permanent way design and a thorough understanding of track structure, route selection, railway alignments, turnouts, track components, earthworks, drainage and related disciplines.
This position is responsible for the effective management and leadership of project teams which may include managing multiple work groups. Therefore, we need someone with good leadership skills a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop others.
